What to Expect
Getting Away from the Crowds
Owing to the flexible nature of the mobile safari we can design an itinerary around the client wants & needs.
To a greater-or-lesser extent, stay away from the areas that see larger concentrations of visitors. For example, the Chobe Waterfront between Sedudu Gate and Serondela has a reputation for vehicle congestion.
However, two thirds of the Chobe Waterfront are west of Serondela and are often overlooked & considerably quieter.
This is where we will camp & spend the majority of our time exploring the waterfront
More than Just Accommodation
A mobile safari is an experience. The group travels with the same guide and staff creating a team atmosphere and a real feeling "ownership" of the safari for the guests. (Rather than jumping from property to property with new faces every 2

Small Numbers and Exclusivity
Our Motswere and Knobthorn levels allow for small numbers to join in with like minded groups although numbers are never more than 9 unless it is a large private group.
We do not squeeze 10+ people into a vehicle to make up the numbers so our guests are always assured that they will have a greater degree of exclusivity than many scheduled safari departures at a similar price.
The Morula and Ebony safaris are entirely private whereby the group has a private guide, chef and camp staff as well as their own private vehicle.
Flexibility on Safari
Moremi Game Reserve to Maun is approximately a 4 hour drive. The safari packs and leaves camp following an early morning Game drive and will enjoy a picnic lunch en-route to Maun. Arrive late after-noon. Optional scenic flight over the Okavango Delta time permitting with either fixed wing or helicopter. A scenic flight is highly recommended as it gives you a bird's eye view of the Okavango Delta.
Comfort
As we offer four levels of mobile safaris the guest can choose the level of comfort they are looking for. A mobile safari can be a very comfortable way to travel although the degree of comfort will depend on what the client requires.
If they are looking for the type of comfort associated with a five star hotel room or high end permanent camps then a mobile safari might not be the ideal style of safari for them.
Wilderness
A mobile safari has the advantage of heading into beautiful untouched wilderness areas without fences. It is important to be aware that Botswana has many beautiful and remote areas where cell phone reception is very limited and Internet is non-existent.
Should the client wish to be in constant touch with the outside world then the mobile safari may not suit their necessities.
But..if the client is looking to take a break from their normal day-to-day routine and embrace the feeling of wilderness, peace and quiet then the mobile safari is ideal.
Wildlife
Botswana is a premier wildlife destination and a mobile safari is one of the best ways to immerse oneself in the flora and fauna of Botswana.
As we camp in the bush the animals are regularly & often quite literally on our doorstep. It is important to note that our campsites do not have fences & animals are free to wander in and out as they wish. We are after all in their home!
While a mobile safari tent provides a safe sleeping environment for our guests. They should always be aware that wildlife may walk past their tents at night, close to or in camp during the day.
Although your guide is always on hand to take charge of any situation, this can be daunting for some and should be taken into consideration when looking at the mobile safari option.
